CEC BOARD OF DIRECTORS UPDATE
The recently constituted Board met yesterday, Sept 5. Here is a summary of that meeting.
New Board members were elected at the emergency General Meeting on August 30, with the exception of Leigh Obermayer, who continues from the previous
Board. The first order of business was to elect officers to fill the remainder of the Board term ending with the Annual General Meeting in January of 2026.

Other business:
Need to update the official club partnership agreement. Kent and Rick will replace Robert Brake and Richard Holland as managing partners.
Obstacles to the transfer of funds from the
current club accounts to accounts previously used need to be resolved. The board officially designated and authorized the Club’s use of 3 different bank accounts.
Rick introduced a detailed list of tasks needing helpers, with the objective being to take previous responsibilities and break them up into smaller, simple tasks to make it easier for members to lend a hand. The plan is to publish the list of tasks this coming week if at all possible.
Brief discussions:
Saturday Breakfast registration changes and the importance of welcoming both members and newcomers.
Using AI to automate tasks to further reduce the workload.
Using technology to record meetings and produce minutes, and the cost of the necessary equipment.
