THE CEC LIVES ON!
We are pleased to announce that at the emergency meeting last Saturday for the purpose of either electing a Board willing to form the necessary partnership or dissolving the CEC, the members present voted to accept a new group of Board members and keep the club alive.
One of the reasons why the group agreed to step in to try to keep the club going was the terrific response they got at a meeting earlier in the week when they asked members if they could help. They heard loud and clear that one of the things that’s needed is to be able to communicate exactly what they need help with — and that those tasks be manageable in terms of the time requirement. They’re working on defining those right now and will publish them within
the next week, and they very much look forward to working with members as this journey unfolds.
In their remarks thanking the members for their support, a promise was made to keep the membership informed every step of the way. More information about the new Board and their efforts will be forthcoming after they meet officially for the first time later this week.
SATURDAY BREAKFAST CONTINUES AS USUAL
If you are one of the many who enjoy this fabulous once-a-month treat, rejoice, the Saturday Breakfast continues as usual this coming Saturday! The Duke’s has asked us to announce anyone can come, CEC membership is not required, and as a special treat for this Saturday everyone will pay the same low price offered to members of 345 baht. Children under 12 are 195
baht. Reservations are not required, but they are very helpful to the restaurant and greatly appreciated. Reserve your spot(s) by sending an email to info@thedukes.co.th, or by calling the restaurant at 053-240-550. We hope to see you there!
