Dear Esteemed Members,
With the deepest respect and a spirit of thoughtful reflection, we address you concerning matters of great importance to our shared community.
At the close of last year, the prior Board tendered its resignations, necessitating the rapid formation of an interim
committee entrusted with guiding our organization into a new chapter. This committee, supported by a dedicated cadre of members, has pursued its responsibilities with earnestness and integrity, achieving meaningful progress and a genuine commitment to our collective welfare.
However, we must acknowledge the enduring challenges that have shaped our current reality. The Club has experienced a steady demographic contraction within our membership, most notably a shrinking cadre of
active participants from the Expat community in Chiang Mai. Compounding this, there has been noticeable hesitation among members to assume leadership roles and fulfill responsibilities essential to sustaining our organizational functions, despite repeated outreach from the presidency.
Surveys conducted during this period indicate a waning interest in expanding activities and events, revealing a dissonance between our aspirations and the broader will of the membership.
Consequently, the operational burden has fallen predominantly upon a small group of devoted individuals—an arrangement that is neither sustainable nor tenable in the long term.
After careful and heartfelt consideration, the Board has reached a solemn and unanimous conclusion: under the present conditions, the continued existence of the Organization is not viable. It is with genuine regret that we must proceed with a formal dissolution.
Please be aware that
anyone objecting to the Dissolution of the club must be prepared to assume the legal role of the General Partner of the Partnership and have a full contingent Board of Directors in place and ready to assume control as of that day, most of the Board members will have or will be resigning that day.
We extend our deepest gratitude to every member who has contributed time, effort, and spirit to our community over the years. Whether your involvement has been large or small, you
have helped shape the fabric of our shared journey.
To honor our commitments and with the utmost transparency, we will undertake all necessary steps toward an orderly dissolution, under our bylaws and applicable regulations. Further information will be provided as appropriate to ensure clarity, fairness, and respect for all involved.
It is our sincere hope that the values and memories forged within this community will endure in your hearts and that the
spirit of what we have built may find new and meaningful expression in your future endeavors.
