The Club has been making major strides this week and of the developments I want to highlight three areas.

After 5 x 2 hour visits to K Bank and countless hours preparing legal douments in both Thai and English, we finally have bank accounts in the name of The Chiang Mai Expats Club. I had to sign my name well over 50 times yesterday! 

This is a major achievement towards the future stability of the Club.

Surveys - "A Board properly functioning, should be regularly asking members what they want & actioning the majority choice...otherwise it begins to fall into the category of "control freakery" and incompetence." This was a quote I picked up doing some background reading.

We are now going to asking members regularly what you want us to concentrate on. We will do this by way of a regular survey and the new survey is below. Please take 5 minutes to complete the survey.

The Club's Website, and other AI developments.

The speed with which developments are taking place is breath taking and the main area is the use of AI in helping to reduce the workload on the helpers.

There is a new Membership Enrolement Form which be filled in electronically and be able to automatically update our back-of-house databases using AI. This form is in the testing mode and it is hoped it will go on line later this week or next.

AI systems are currently in development to improve our service to our Sponsors who are the life blood of the Club. This system is being live tested this week.

An AI system is being developed that will ease helpers answering the many email queries that come in each week. Again this system is being live tested this week.

New survey forms and analysis systems have been developed so that we can easily ask you want you want us to do.

A new system is being developed to help you sign up for the monthly breakfast and the Expat Connextion meetings This will be available for the next breakfast but not for the nect Expat Connection meeting. This is all designed to make life easier for members and helpers.

A word of warning - testing like this will throw up mistakes and errors - that's why we live test so please bare with us while this is underway.

A survey to identify medical and health-related topics

The Chiang Mai ExPats Club is committed to providing valuable and relevant content at our Expat Connection meetings. To ensure our future presentations meet your needs, we are conducting a survey to identify the medical and health-related topics you would like to hear about during our 20-30 minute sessions (including Q&A) at these meetings. We are collaborating with various partners to arrange speakers on topics that matter most to you, while ensuring these presentations focus on education and not sales. This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete, and your responses will remain anonymous. Thank you for sharing your input!

The Wine Connection restaurant at Central Festival - they host us for free. They have easy parking, a great selection of food and drinks for members to buy, and a separate area we can use. This is scheduled to be a regular event every Tuesday between 17:00 and 20:00 (note: new start time to fit the alcohol drinkers!).
